Feb 22 2006: John Yoo, Professor of Law at the University of California at Berkeley School of Law, spoke about the Bush Presidency and the constitutional powers of war.

Among the issues he addresses were the nature of terrorism and U.S. efforts to combat global terrorist networks, the Constitutional authority invested in the commander-in-chief, criticism of the Bush administration’s conduct of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and war powers of the various branches of government.

Professor Yoo served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Legal Counsel in the U.S. Justice Department from 2001-2003, where he was involved in many of the legal issues concerning the war on terrorism.
